Video chat as an avatar
Your camera animates a cartoon version of you, right here on your device. Your friend sees the avatar and hears your voice. Your camera video is never sent anywhere.
- Nothing to install. Your friend just opens the link.
- Voice, messages and avatar movement go directly between your two devices (peer-to-peer).
- Works in current browsers on phones, tablets and computers.
Calls need the Avatar Call server running on your computer
(./avatar --share, see the README). Cast to a TV works right here.
Get ready
Your browser will ask for permission. The camera only animates your avatar; video stays on this device.
Cast to your TV
Your face animates your avatar here; the TV shows it full screen and plays your voice. Your computer or phone talks to the TV directly over your home network.
Use headphones or keep your microphone away from the TV, or the TV's sound will echo back into the mic.
Casting needs Chrome on a computer or Android phone, on the same Wi-Fi as a Chromecast or Google TV.

You left the call
The link still works if you want to go back in.
